We conceived this compilation with three goals in mind. First, we want to celebrate the anniversary of Music In Motion Columbus. Second, we want to celebrate the local music scene and expose people to the wide variety of talented local musicians that make up the local music scene. Finally, we want to give back to the community that has given us such diverse musical offerings.
"The Fog That Surrounds Us" is our first (of hopefully many more to come) compilation album. It contains eighteen tracks by eighteen bands (mainly from Columbus, but also from around Ohio), with half (9) of the songs being unreleased material from the musicians. We live by the mantra of "Support Local Music" and believe in the scene. If you like what you hear, support these artists by purchasing their music.
All profits from the sale of this album benefit the local charity MusicLovesOhio.org, which provides musical instruments to underserved youth in Columbus, OH. By purchasing this album, you will be helping the next generation of local musicians and bands.
